Dave,
for IP if you like.
In my Beijing hotel room this morning CNN aired a piece about Yahoo
calling for search engines to cooperate to deal with China's "search
engine rules." Not surprisingly, as the correspondent was about to say
the word "c**sorship" (my inference) the sound went blank for several
seconds.

(asterisks in text above deliberate since this is being sent from a
government agency ethernet connection--we'll see if this message gets
through)

This provision was requested by the large insurance carriers,
who want to be absolutely sure that they have your complete
medical history. That way, they can be sure to refuse to insure
you if you seem a bad risk, or find new reasons to deny coverage
of a problem if anything in your medical history suggests that
it might be "pre-existing."
Heaven forbid that you should be able to pay out of pocket
for treatment (even of an embarrassing condition) and have it go
unrecorded!
