About 22% of U.S. adults believe Mr. Hussein helped plan 9/11, the
poll
shows, and 26% believe Iraq had weapons of mass destruction when
the U.S.
invaded. Another 24% believe several of the 9/11 hijackers were
Iraqis,
according to the online poll of 1,961 adults.
According to an online poll put on by Time magazine, Richard Kyanka,
creator of www.somethingawful.com, is the most influential American
in history. That was a poll with "random" respondants, and had over
1 million responces.
Now, harris poll online is VERY interesting in that they poll people
who register on their site as interested in taking surveys. Unlike
polling a random population as most polls do, this almost ensures
that you are getting quite a number of people who simply are either
"squeaky wheels," or are quite bored. While I don't doubt that quite
a few Americans still believe Saddam was behind 9/11, the result that
24% of their respondants said that the hijackers WERE Iraqi, an
easily disputed and well known non-truth, should put this entire
poll's results in question.
Even looking at the polls own results: LESS people answering this
poll believe Saddam has ties to 9/11 than believe that Iraqis were
amoung the hijackers! How is that possible, if the poll is anywhere
close to reality?
