Its four years since the 9/11 and the war on Terror that followed.
The following Times sunday magazine article takes a stock of the war
so far. It's particularly informative on the background and historical
setting that nurtured the jihadists and indifference of US strategists
and policymakers. The US has succeeded largely in Afghanistan, but in
Iraq looks like it succeeded in getting into long war the jihadists
dream of.
