Thanks Chris, I had missed that bit originally. That said, I think it is odd the focus of the article is on the voice aspect. It seems to me that the 'big news' here should be Telecom NZ plans 100% broadband deployment. I guess I was really agreeing with Lauren's post that this will not be a 100% transition within the timeframe suggested but will instead be a longer term process and that they will have the line gateway functionality in place for quite a while. I think it's also worth noting that this seems to be VERY early in the planning process if the first customers will go into service in 2 years. Concerns about a 'forced migration' in 2012 are a bit premature, I would think.
