This "Developer Transition System" that Apple is "selling" isn't a
sale. It's a rental.
The lengthy terms and conditions you have to click through (now
linked from developer.apple.com) grants the lessee license to the
machine and software until December 31, 2006, at which time you must
send it back to Apple.
