Raise Indecency
Dave,
This biggest issue with these $500,000 fines is that to a huge media
organization like the big TV networks, this is very little. But to a
small, single-owner radio station in a small market, this would be a
death sentence.
There are small community stations out there that don't bring in
$500,000 a year in total revenues. This fine would bankrupt a small
station. It doesn't take into account intent or whether the indecency
slipped in by accident, or if the station has a history of such
violations.
Fines like these will only serve to strengthen the corporate
stranglehold on over the air media.

indecency issues!)
