Subject: FW: Cybersecurity moves out of DHS to WH
Tom Grim,
Prior to the announcement that Amit Yoran resigned with a one-day
notice, this news item came out. Sorry I did not send this before
sending the news of Yoran's departure, which would have made more sense
then. Always remember, though, that you can not inflict five-letter
words on government: sense, logic, happy, etc.
I'm certain Amit would agree :-)
Jack
A new Office of Critical Infrastructure Information Protection
at the
Office of Management and Budget will take over duties from DHS
with a
new director (not Amit Yoran).
The change reflects frustration among some Republican lawmakers
about
what they view as a lack of attention paid to cybersecurity by
the
Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
