People keep saying this, there's not much evidence to support it.  Sonic 
Blue (ReplayTV's parent company) had enormous debts (from acquiring 
companies like ReplayTV) relative to the cost of the lawsuits involving 
ReplayTV.   They went bankrupt because they owed hundreds of millions of 
dollars to investors, that debt didn't come from the MPAA's lawsuit.
