[IP] more oon"Nightline" show devoted to names, photos of U.S. dead in Iraq
The issue is that the administration has not made the case that Iraq is to
ensure OUR freedom. If we are tobe the policeman of the world, tell us
that. If we want world wide democracy then attack the endless dictators
that suppress their people (many of who we support).

Somewhere along the way this country has lost its willingness to make
the sacrifices necessary to ensure freedom. Every day we are bombarded
with the enervating news, in lachrymose and sensational style, of even a
single soldier's death in Iraq. Family and friends are pictured
lugubriously and quoted. Meanwhile the fastuous pundits vapidly lament
and second guess the nation's actions. The age of instant communications
is egregiously sapping our national will to persevere in the face of any
adversity without a quick resolution.
With no intentions to take anything away from those that have given the
ultimate sacrifice in Iraq, how about a show reading the names of the
fifty-eight thousand or so Vietnam veterans that paid the price
defending freedom with their lives?
