It was Wednesday, February 18, 2004 when Dave Farber took the soap box, saying:

: Since IP last discussed SPF, thousands more domains have published SPF
: records. Over 7000 domains that have announced they are publishing.

I'm a Software Developer at pair Networks, which operates pairNIC.
Yesterday (Feb-18) we launched SPF support for our free custom DNS
system. All domains registered through us have the option to create SPF
records for free.

Other DNS providers such as DynDNS, EasyDNS, and eNom have also offered
SPF support. It seems that the industry is really pulling behind this
standard, we're all working together.

Because SPF is unobtrusive, it's easy for DNS providers to support it by
allowing users to publish TXT records. It's refreshing to see many
providers going a step further to promote SPF as an important offering,
and an important technology. Whether it be in service documentation or
on the home page.

As an ICANN accredited registrar we care very much about protecting the
services our users have the opportunity to take advantage of by
registering a domain name. It's great to see other registrars and DNS
providers working toward this common goal.

SPF is finally beginning to move on inertia.
