Before anyone starts feeling too sorry for the telephone and cable
companies because of the FCC ruling exempting Pulver and Skype (but not
Vonage and the other commercial services) from regulation, it should be
remembered that such services require broadband to be useful -- and that
the Verizons and cable companies are the main broadband providers.
