Dear Professor Farber:

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and the Universities
Space Research Association are pleased to announce that applications are
now being accepted for the 2004 NASA Faculty Fellowship Program (NFFP).

The NFFP offers faculty members hands on exposure to NASA's research
challenges through 10-week summer research residencies at participating
NASA research centers, working closely with NASA colleagues on challenges
important to NASA's strategic enterprises. Although the program varies
slightly at each center, common activities include short courses,
workshops, and seminars. The time devoted to these activities varies among
programs reflecting the predilections of both the co-directors and
participants. Additional social activities may also be arranged for the
participants and their families during the summer.

NFFP Fellows will receive a weekly stipend, currently set at $1,200 per
week. Travel and relocation allowances are available for qualifying
fellows.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold a full-time faculty appointment
at a U.S. college or university. The NFFP is a residential summer program
and all research must be conducted on-site at the sponsoring NASA Center.

The NFFP is jointly managed by ASEE and USRA and combines aspects of two
successful and long running NASA programs, the NASA/ASEE Summer Faculty
Fellowship Program and the NASA/USRA JOVE program.

The application deadline for the 2004 NFFP is: February 2, 2004.
