Buzzzzt: Wrong!

Verisign is not doing the same thing that Microsoft and others do with their
browsers at the very edge of the network. The browser is under the
preferential control of the end user and does not effect the entire
Internet. The edge of the Internet is where innovation thrives. The Core
should be kept "stupid" and support transparent end-to-end connectivity
based on the IETF standards process.

Verisign hijacked a core function of the Internet and twisted it to their
own use with no mechanism for end users to opt out or change the behavior to
their own liking. Also when the the browser at the edge does it, it doesn't
break things for all other software that is not a browser. Sitefinder does
break the established behavior of core protocols of the Internet.
