CNN's Tucker Carlson Angry Over Phone Flap
WASHINGTON - Conservative CNN commentator Tucker Carlson's snide humor
backfired on him.
While defending telemarketers on television last week, Carlson was asked for
his home phone number. Carlson gave out a number, but it was for Fox News,
CNN's rival.
The Fox News bureau was deluged with calls.
To get back at him, Fox posted Carlson's home number on their Web site.
Carlson's wife was inundated with calls. Carlson went to Fox News to
complain. He was told the number would be taken off the Web site if he
apologized on the air.
Fox spokeswoman Irena Briganti said Carlson got what he deserved. "CNN threw
the first punch here. Correcting this mistake was good journalism."

(Carlson's phone number is on lots of chatlists now. Call him and see if he
wants to buy something. His staffers are furious.)
