Folks,

I feel that the ICANN community is currently lacking a place for
reasonable online discussion -- all there is is icannwatch and a
couple of blogs; the GA list seems mostly dead.

One of the things the ccNSO members have agreed is that there will be ( details still being worked on) a number of lists which will provide non members information about cctlds, including their work within ICANN. This will include an open list for all to receive information from the ccNSO, and another where discussion can occur.

The first is likely to be a one way ccnso-announce list - which will be used for passing formal notiics - dates of meeting, agendas, minutes etc - the sort of formal complinace stuff you might get from the companies registry or the stock exchange. many peiople who don't want to debate eveery issue but stuill want to know whats going on may find that a useful way of getting information.

The second will be the ( moderated) public discuss list, where issues can be discussed by subscribers.

This will be in a addition to a "members only" list.
