One fact is made quite salient in all the UN stuff; Nobody, Nobody and Nobodies anybody runs the Internet. How best to coordinate is the only issue brewing.
Declan made me review my thoughts on using the UN. For every reason he has disdain for free speech abridging communities, it is only another reason to market that same freedom and educate the recalcitrant. I don't think the UN can have any direct impact on the mechanics of my Internet, but they can throw money at it and open a few closed doors, allowing some light to shine on education forbidding groups. It is always good to bring an idiot into an enlightened discourse as they may leave as a little less of an idiot.
