Re: [Euralo-ml] IGF At Large Activities

I understand what you have said Thomas.

I hope that we find that the outreach efforts are, in the end,
productive; I have faith that those who attend the EURALO meeting,
both in person and telephonically if we can make that work, will also
find those discussions productive.

I know we all wish to see a procedure for the future which enables the
advance decision-making and clarity that you seek, and I have been
tasked with devising something by Denise.

I hope you will be able to attend telephonically if that is possible?

Hi Nick,

too bad that this funding commitment is coming late enough to be
practically meaningless.

It's particularly meaningless if its purpose is supposed to be to
enable folks to attend the meetings in Athens that would otherwise
not be able to.

It's also particularly meaningless if the purpose is supposed to be
to get people and organizations involved in ICANN and Internet
Governance issues who have other fish to fry.

As far as I'm concerned, a meeting like this that isn't confirmed
and has funding commitments quite some time before, is equivalent to
a meeting that's cancelled.

Enjoy Athens.

Cheers,
