[alac-forum] Thin vs Thick Registry

I think it's important for the registry to publish contact
information for each domain (preferably a snail mail address), so
that they can be contacted if someone has a spam complaint or if they
are stealing someone else's copyrighted work.

It is so easy to copy someone else's material on the internet, and if
copyright holders don't have a way to contact abusers, they have no
choice but to file legal action.

However, it might be a good idea to limit the amount of personal
information given to the snail mail address. These days, publishing
email addresses is an invitation to send unsolicited email. Keeping
phone numbers private will also help small businesses avoid being
harrassed by people who think (rightly or wrongly) that they've been
spammed.
