[FYI] Jonas Luster: Redmond Pisses On The 'Net - Again
Hallo Zielgruppe,
vor knapp 4 Wochen erklärte Microsoft noch, das nun irgendwann
oder vielleicht doch etwas später anstehende Service Pack 2 für
Windows XP ließe sich auch auf Systemen mit "zweifelhaften Li-
zenzstatus" - sprich: im Internet verbreiteten Lizenzkeys - in-
stallieren (Naja, bis auf 2 sehr sehr verbreitete, man wollte
es mit der Freundlichkeit wohl auch nicht übertreiben). Die Ent-
scheidung habe man schweren Herzens im Sinne des IT-Gemeinwohls
getroffen, Sicherheit und Verantwortung gingen schliesslich vor

Dass man sich auch in Redmond nicht um das Geschwätz von vor-
gestern kümmert, las ich gerade im Blog von Jonas Luster [1],
der einen Artikel von BBC Online zitiert:

decision making ranks. [..] What it will do, however, is leave
tens of thousands of systems on the 'net vulnerable to attacks and
unpatchable against virii and other attacks - flaws no one than
Microsoft itself is to blame for in the first place."
