VULNERABILITY SUMMARY
A potential security vulnerability has been identified in HP-UX running the
logins(1M) command. This command incorrectly reports password status. As a
result password issues may not be detected, allowing remote unauthorized access.

BACKGROUND
The logins(1m) command incorrectly reports password status. As a result
password issues may not be detected, allowing remote unauthorized access.
To determine if an HP-UX system has an affected version, search the output of
"swlist -a revision -l fileset" for one of the filesets listed below. For
affected systems verify that the recommended action has been taken.
