VULNERABILITY SUMMARY
A potential security vulnerability has been identified with HP Version Control
Agent.
The vulnerability could be exploited by an authorized user to gain unauthorized
access
possibly leading to elevation of privilege.

SUPPORTED SOFTWARE VERSIONS*: ONLY impacted versions are listed.
HP Version Control Agent versions prior to version 2.1.5 running on Linux and
Windows.
BACKGROUND
A potential vulnerability has been identified with HP Version Control Agent
which could allow
a user who is properly authenticated to the HP Version Control Agent to gain
unauthorized
access to the HP Version Control Repository Manager account on a remote system.
RESOLUTION
HP has provided HP Version Control Agent version 2.1.5 or subsequent to resolve
this issue.
HP Version Control Agent version 2.1.5 for Linux can be downloaded from

HP Version Control Agent version 2.1.5 for Windows can be downloaded from

HP Version Control Repository Manager (VCRM) can be configured to download
updates automatically,
