VULNERABILITY SUMMARY:
Potential vulnerabilities have been identified with OpenView
Network Node Manager (OV NNM).  These vulnerabilities could be
exploited remotely by an unauthorized user to gain privileged
access.

 ->OpenView Network Node Manager (OV NNM) 6.2, 6.4, 7.01, 7.50
running on HP-UX B.11.00, B.11.11, and B.11.23, Solaris,
Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Linux.

     Note: To determine if an HP-UX system has an affected
           version, search the output of
               "swlist -a revision -l fileset"
           for an affected fileset.  Then determine if the
           recommended patch or update is installed.

     END AFFECTED VERSIONS

RESOLUTION:

 ->Until patches are available the potential vulnerability can be
avoided by moving the connectedNodes.ovpl, cdpView.ovpl, and
freeIPaddrs.ovpl files from the cgi-bin directory into another
directory.  The directory should not have write permissions for
ordinary users.

- ->The connectedNodes.ovpl, cdpView.ovpl, and freeIPaddrs.ovpl
files are located in the /opt/OV/www/cgi-bin/ directory for HP-UX,
Solaris, and Linux.  The files are located in the \www\cgi-bin\
for Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows XP.

MANUAL ACTIONS: Yes - NonUpdate

 ->Move connectedNodes.ovpl, cdpView.ovpl, and freeIPaddrs.ovpl
from the cgi-bin directory into another directory.
